Morgan and Mommy Weekend

Life was better today, and Morgan and I got to spend some quality time together (this was the plan for the weekend...only temporarily put on hold due to the "illness"). We went to the Dallas Arboretum with a friend of mine, Dagmar. It was so relaxing just to get out and walk in the fresh air. I am really glad that I got the season pass there. After strolling around, we got Morgan out of her stroller and let her play in the grass, but she was more interested in playing with the stroller.

What Goes Around, Comes Around!

Well Jake was better by Friday morning so the plan was still on for him to go and spend the weekend at Grammy's (Aaron's mom) so that Aaron could go hunting. I left work early because I wasn't feeling well and got sick once I got home. Fortunately, our nanny Jess was with Morgan and told me she could stay until 7, so that I could lay down for a few hours. That lasted about 20 minutes until Morgan started vomiting. So here we are again, only Mommy is vomiting now as well. Poor Jess got puked on and decided that a vomiting child was the best kind of birth control available. Morgan and I proceeded to spend the next 3-4 hours with one of us vomiting every 15 minutes. She got over it quicker than I did (thank goodness), because I was up every 30 minutes until 4:30 am being sick.



Saturday morning comes around and I feel like I have the worse hang over of my life. Not sure if it was recovery from being sick, or being up all night long. Morgan was a real trooper though and took some long naps so that I could sleep, which with one baby you can do. I now understand the statement "just take a nap when the baby takes a nap".



This little "bug" seems to be super contagious because Jess got sick Saturday afternoon. The only good thing is that it only lasts 24 - 36 hours and then you feel almost 100% again!
