Lack of Blog Entries

Sorry for the lack of blog entries recently. We have been super busy (and tired), the Internet has been acting up, and I guess I have just been lazy. So here is the last two weeks worth in one night.

Enjoy!!!

Sunday Dinner

After we came home from our evening out, Mum had made a traditional English dinner with roast beef, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, veggies, and gravy. Jake really enjoyed his dinner. He even stole a yorkshire off Nanar's plate when she wasn't looking. We couldn't stop laughing at him. He thought he was hot stuff. They both finished it off with a piece of chocolate cake.

New Favorite Toy

Morgan and Jake have both decided that the piggy bank Aunt Jo got for them is the best thing ever. We were having multiple fights over who was going to get to play with it. So I solved that problem, or most of it, by going out and getting a second counting piggy bank. It is still a favorite!!!

Hockey Game

Aaron and I went to a Stars hockey game for our 7th anniversary last weekend. We got to go out for a nice dinner, a steak of course. Then we enjoyed a Stars victory in overtime, then we stayed downtown in a hotel (while my mum and dad watched Morgan and Jake). The best part is we got to sleep in!!!!! Yea it was so nice. Thanks Mum and Dad.

Ayla's Birthday

Morgan and Jake got to go and enjoy their friend Ayla's first birthday. We all had so much fun. Jake ate Thai Chicken Salad and both of them had a strawberry cupcake. They enjoyed playing with their friends and all Ayla's new toys.

Backyard Play

Morgan enjoyed some time out on the slide one afternoon. Both Morgan and Jake know how to climb up to the top and slide down. Although Jake is much more adventuresome and will come down head first!

Jake's New Breakfast

Jake and Morgan have discovered powdered donuts in the morning. Jake thinks they are the greatest thing since pancakes! Emma also likes them so we are constantly telling her "no".
She tried to take Jake's donut when he was sitting on my lap the other morning and I said "no Emma" and he repeated "No Ma. Go" with his finger pointing. Very cute!!! His first real sentence. Well second I guess because he will look at her and say "Bad Dog". Guess Aaron and I are about to have to be really careful what we say....

18 Month Appointment

We survived our 18 month appointment (about 2 weeks ago). Jake has finally hit 20 pounds, 20.3 to be exact. Morgan is 22lb, 15oz. She is about an inch taller than Jake also. Dr Nail is not concerned about Jake's size, even though he is still in the less than 1% on weight, because he is growing on a curve (just below the average curve). They didn't get any shots at this visit, just a small finger prick to make sure they weren't anemic. Both got an A+ report card!!!

Swinging On The Porch

This was still down at Grammy and Paps. They got Morgan a pink swing and Jake a blue swing. Both kids absolutely loved it!!!

The Carseat Turn

Well I finally turned Morgan and Jake's car seat around. They are now facing forward and loving it. I also love it because I can now see what they are doing. Jake just stared in awe for the first two days...they are now adjusted to it!!!
