Sickness At The Podlucky's

I guess we have now all had the stomach flu that is going around. Jake started on Thursday and vomited 2 times, then again on Friday night. Aaron also got sick on Friday night. Morgan vomited up dinner tonight, and I have been nauseated....

I know it is going around. It seems like everyone I talk to is dealing with some for of this or another. Hopefully we will all get well soon!!!

Feeding The Ducks

We went to the park today for a walk and fed the ducks. Both Aaron and I think that Emma must have hunted ducks at her previous home. She was going crazy trying to get them. I tried to explain to Aaron that was like putting him in a room full of Guiness and telling him he couldn't drink one!!!!
Morgan and Jake liked watching the ducks, but there were also alot of seagulls (at a pond...go figure) that kept coming to take the bread. Morgan and Jake are snacking on a piece of bread in this picture.

Sleepy Babies

This was Friday night when I got home from work. Both MJ had passed out while Aaron was giving them a bottle!!

Kids At The Park

Aaron and I took MJ up to the neighborhood park today when he got home from work. The kids had been super cranky all day and we needed to get out. I think that they are both teething. Morgan I know is getting all of her 4 canine teeth (which I have heard can be pretty bad). Jake loved the slide. He kept climbing up on the jungle gym and going straight to the big slide. He loved going down belly first. Morgan also liked it, but not quite as much as Jake.

Jake and Pico de Gallo

We had our mommies lunch out today at Fuddruckers (hamburgers). I had a scoop of pico de gallo on my plate and Jake grabbed a handful and before I could stop him, he had put it in his mouth. It must have been really hot because he immediately started crying. Then comes the real challenging part of the story...trying to get him to drink anything. He didn't trust anything to go in his mouth. Poor Jake!

Jake's Haircut

I finally got around to taking Jake to get his haircut today after we went shopping with Christi and Addison at the Allen Outlet Mall. It has been a while and we ended up cutting a lot of hair!!! This was the first time at a childrens haircut place. Jake got to sit in a yellow hummer while his hair was cut. Normally he just goes with Aaron to Sport Clips (and I actually think they do a better job)

Jake Loves Ketchup!

Last Saturday, Aaron, I, Jake and Morgan went to Outback for an early dinner. We discovered during this visit that Jake inherited another "Mommy" trait. He loves ketchup. We gave him some Bloomin' Onion (which I eat with ketchup, not the horseradish sauce) and he watched me dip it in the ketchup and he did the same. It wasn't long before he had dipped his fingers in the ketchup, abandoned the onion, and started drinking the ketchup. Well I guess there is no denying he is my child!!!

Our Trip To The Dallas Aquarium

We went to the Dallas Aquarium last Thursday with our friends Jenny and Makenna. I didn't realize that there was so much more than just fish. It was more like a tropical rain forrest. There were birds, monkeys, waterfalls, sharks, penguins, manatees, and even sloths.

Superbowl Sunday

The Podlucky's cheered for the Steeler's this year! Aaron of course is a Steeler's fan, me - well the Cowboys weren't playing, and the twins....if you ask Aaron they have always been Steeler's fans, if you ask me it was because the Cowboy's weren't playing!!!!

We started the afternoon off by going to one of my high school friends house. There Morgan and Jake got to show Walker and Brenda what needed to be child proofed in their home before they have kids. They also got to watch some guitar hero, and Morgan even helped Brenda play the drums.
We then went next door to to Karl and Vanessa for their annual Superbowl Party. There we enjoyed lots of great food. I found out that Jake loves my sausage rolls and that Morgan really likes grapes.
The game probably took a few years of our lives with the closeness at the end, but we were excited. Especially since Aaron, me, and one other lady were the only ones cheering for the Steeler's in a party of 30+ people. And yes Casey, I did wear my new Steeler's shirt, so I guess it isn't a curse after all!!!!

Gone Riding

I got to go horseback riding this weekend with the two vets I work with. Dr Bixler has horses and Dr Grand and I went and rode. It has been about 16 years since I have been on a horse, so it was quite the experience. I really have missed it and look forward to going riding again...thanks Valerie!

The horse I was on was huge...Isn't that how it always works, the shortest person gets the tallest horse! I fell in love with Chance. He was dappled grey and a great horse to ride.

She Bit Me

Morgan has unfortunately started the biting phase. Last weekend, while at Eliana's birthday party, she came to me like she was going to hug me...and whammo...all teeth cranked down on my shoulder. It was such a shock! Those little teeth hurt. It didn't break the skin, but I did have a bruise for over a week! She bit Aaron that same night as well, not as hard, but once again a shocker.
Jake has yet to bite me, but he did run up to Aaron and bite him on the knee and then ran away!!! How do you not laugh at that?
I would say that they had to have picked this up at school, except they really hadn't been much in December and the beginning of January...I guess it is just a stage that every kid goes through.
